Braces & Invisalign | Palm Beach Gardens & Wellington
Modern Treatments for Your Smile
Orthodontic treatment is constantly improving, and Taylor & Murray Orthodontics brings the latest options to Palm Beach County.
Dr. Murray will help determine the best options for your smile at our offices in Palm Beach Gardens and Wellington.
Invisalign for Teens & Adults
Invisalign is a custom appliance used to straighten your teeth.
Not only are the plastic aligners invisible, but they’re also removable, so you can eat and drink what you want during treatment.
This also makes brushing and flossing easier with Invisalign than with other treatment methods. Invisalign is comfortable and doesn't have any metal to cause mouth abrasions during your treatment at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics.
We can treat various orthodontic issues using Invisalign, but it may not be best if you need more drastic corrections.
Clear braces at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics are made of a clear ceramic material and are less visible on your teeth than metal braces.
While they are visually less prominent, they require more oral hygiene attention as ceramic braces are larger and more brittle than metal braces.
For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than lower ones. Dr. Murray primarily uses ceramic braces on older teenagers and adults with cosmetic concerns.
Metal & Champagne Braces
Traditional metal braces are the most common type at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics and are more comfortable than ever. Metal braces are made of high-grade stainless steel and straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires.
You can add colored elastics (rubber bands) with metal braces for a more unique and colorful smile. We also offer Iconix champagne braces to give you an aesthetic, classy option if you want something a little more special.
Orthodontics for All Ages
You deserve a healthy, beautiful smile no matter your age. At Taylor & Murray Orthodontics, we offer a full range of orthodontic treatment options for children, teens, and adults.
Retainers are fixed or removable appliances worn after finishing your orthodontic treatment at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics. A removable retainer attaches to your upper or lower teeth and holds them in their newly-straightened positions.
Typically you’ll wear your retainers every night to sleep or according to the instructions from Dr. Murray.
Always keep your retainers in their case when you aren’t wearing them.
- NEVER WRAP YOUR RETAINER IN A NAPKIN! This is the best way to lose it!
- Clean your retainers daily with a toothbrush and dish soap using cold water.
- Brushing your retainer removes the plaque and eliminates the odors.
- You can use Efferdent or other orthodontic appliance cleaners, but they do not take the place of brushing.
- Retainers are breakable, so treat them with care.
- Keep retainers away from hot water, car dashboards, and the dishwasher, and keep them out of your pockets.
- If your retainers are lost or broken, please call us immediately.
- Always bring your retainers to your appointments.
